A local man who played more than 500 games for MKRUFC he was regarded as one of the best hookers in Buckinghamshire and was one of the Club’s strongest players of his era and continued to turn out for the Club at all levels of the game. He was First XV Captain 1988-89.
David, who lived at Nash, unfortunately passed away, aged only 50, after a game for the MKRUFC third team against Bletchley, and died after a massive heart attack in the clubhouse at Bletchley’s Manor Fields ground, staring at his first pint of Guinness. He has become a legendary figure. His son was playing in the same team, but was off the field on the way to MK general hospital with a shoulder injury when his father passed way.
