Steve Browne, Team Physio MKRUFC U15s
“The MKRUFC U15 squad had their first real taste of touring rugby when their ‘Norfolk n-Chance Tour’ took them away to Norwich for a weekend of adventure, oh yes and some rugby matches too! The boys’ behaviour was impeccable and they represented Milton Keynes Rugby Football Club with exceptionally high standards on and off the pitch. Needless to say the old adage of ‘what happens on tour, stays on tour’ prevails, as some things parents really don’t need to know about. The standard of rugby played over the weekend was outstanding and all games were played with the right determination and spirit which the boys should be proud of. For some of the boys this was their first experience of being away from home ‘alone’, couple that with the mixture of normal teenage hormones and the atmosphere was always going to be interesting. Off the pitch all the ‘responsible’ adults can honestly say that this will be an experience none of the squad will forget and something they will take with them for the rest of their lives. Truly what the spirit of community grassroots rugby is all about.”
